Where are my drafts saved?
On the device, every time you type, with or without an account. Sign in to Cinema Set Free and the same drafts sync to the browser and your other devices.
What can I import?
PDF, Fountain, Final Draft (.fdx) and plain text. A PDF comes in as formatted scenes, not a picture of the page. If a file won't import, send it to us and we'll look at why.
How do I get my script out?
Use the share button in the editor. You can export an industry-format PDF, a Fountain file or a Final Draft file at any time, signed in or not.
I edited the same draft on two devices. Which one wins?
Neither, silently. If the draft changed somewhere else since you opened it, the app stops saving and tells you, so it never writes over the other copy.

How do I join a production?
Scan the QR code your production office gives you, on the call sheet or on their screen. That puts you on that production. You can also sign in with the account the office invited.
I opened the app and there's nothing in it.
CinemaCrew shows a production run on Cinema Set Free. Until the office adds you, there is no call sheet or channel to show. Ask your production coordinator for the QR code.
Who can see where I am?
Only the people on that production, and only while you have location sharing turned on. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Past positions are kept for seven days.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, unless you choose to share it. When you do, only your own department sees it, and you can stop sharing it at any time.
How do I leave a production?
Access ends when the show wraps. You can also switch off any of your devices from the device list in your account settings on the website, and it signs out at once.

CinemaCutter
Do I need an account?
No. Local projects live on your device and reopen where you left off. Connect to Cinema Set Free only if you want the day's takes from the shoot and sequences saved to the project.
A file won't import.
The editor names the container and codec it couldn't read. Send us that message and, if you can, the file. We would rather refuse a file than cut it at the wrong frame count.
How do I hand the cut to another editor?
Export FCPXML, FCP7 XML, AAF and ALE, a CMX3600 EDL or OpenTimelineIO. The export tells you what the format can't carry before you send it.
The keys don't match my editor.
Pick your editor in Settings and the shortcuts, trims and drag rules switch to match. Every key is listed there, and you can rebind any of them.

Your account and your data
How do I delete my account?
Go to the delete account page, sign in, and confirm. Your account and the projects you own close straight away, and their files are removed 30 days later. You can also email us from the address on the account.
What happens to drafts on my device?
Deleting the account closes what we store and removes its files 30 days later. Drafts and local projects saved on your device stay there until you delete them in the app or remove the app.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
No. None of our apps show ads or track you across other apps and websites. The privacy policy lists everything we collect and who handles it for us.
