Why we do this
Film software should be built next to a film being made.
Most production software is built a long way from a set, and it shows. The tool does what the spec said, and the crew works around it.
We would rather build ours beside films that are being made. So we take a few independent productions at a time, move them into Cinema Set Free, and stay on the line until they wrap.

Your production runs on Pro for as long as you are making the film, with the whole crew working inside it.

Features reach your project before they ship to everyone. You find the rough edges on a real shoot, and we sand them off.

Send us your breakdown, your schedule or your budget. We will sit with it and tell you what we think.
The story of how it was made
When the film is done, we would like to tell how it got made. You read it first and decide if it runs.
We keep the group small so the people who build CSF can answer every fellow themselves.
What we're looking for
Independent
You, or you and a small crew, making the film on your own terms. No studio money behind it.
Ready to shoot
A script and a plan to shoot in the next few months. We learn the most from a production that is moving.
Candid
You will tell us when something is slow, confusing or broken. That is the part we need most.

We talk through the plan and whether CSF can carry it. If it can't yet, we say so.

Move the production in
Import the script and build the breakdown and schedule. We work through the first pass with you.

Make the film and keep reporting
Use the feedback buttons as you go, and take the monthly call until wrap.
We take a few productions at a time, as places open.
