What you make
Scripts, projects, schedules, call sheets, messages, errands, sequences and the files you upload are stored on our servers so your team can see them. Only you and the people you add to a project can open it.

This policy covers the Cinema Set Free website (cinemasetfree.com) and our three apps: CinemaWriter, CinemaCrew and CinemaCutter, on every platform they run on. Cinema Set Free is the service; each app is a way into it.
None of them show ads. None of them track you across other companies' apps or websites, and none include a third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting kit.
When you sign in with Google, Facebook, Amazon or an emailed link, we keep your name, email address and profile picture from that sign-in. We never see a password. A device you sign in on or pair with a QR code gets its own token, and you can switch any device off.
You can write in CinemaWriter and cut in CinemaCutter without an account. Then nothing you make leaves your device.
Scripts, projects, schedules, call sheets, messages, errands, sequences and the files you upload are stored on our servers so your team can see them. Only you and the people you add to a project can open it.
Drafts are saved on your device. If you sign in, they also sync to your account so they open on your other devices. The camera is used only to scan a pairing QR code; no picture is kept.
CinemaCrew works inside a production you've been invited to. What it collects, and who sees it:
Your footage stays on your machine. The app keeps a pointer to each file you open, not a copy. If you connect to Cinema Set Free, your sequences and bin sync to the project, and footage you choose to back up is uploaded to the project's storage.
If you ask the assistant for an edit, your request and the sequence it needs are sent to our AI provider to get an answer.
When something breaks, we log the error with your account id, browser or device type and the page it happened on, and keep it for six months. We also log sign-ins and key actions, such as creating a project, with your account id and IP address, for three months. Both exist to fix bugs and stop abuse, never to advertise.
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your theme and a few layout choices are saved in your browser.
Your account and projects stay until you delete them. After you delete your account we remove its files 30 days later, and keep a closed record of it that can't be signed in to. Error logs are kept six months, activity logs three months and errand routes seven days. Stripe keeps payment records as tax law requires.
Delete your account from the delete account page, from Settings on the website, or by emailing us from the address on the account. It closes straight away: every device is signed out, a paid plan is cancelled, and the account and the projects you own can't be opened. We remove the files you uploaded and the images you made 30 days later.
If you were on someone else's production, the crew list they keep (your name, role and contact details) belongs to that production. Ask them, or us, to remove it. Drafts and local projects stored on your device stay there until you delete them or remove the app.
You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Email us for a copy of everything we hold about you, or for any change we can't let you make yourself. If you are in the EU, the UK or California, you have these rights by law, and we don't treat you differently for using them.
Our services are not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Privacy questions go to admin@cinemasetfree.com. For anything else, use the form on our support page. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
