Open the tab and scan its code from CinemaCrew on each phone. Click tiles to pick them, then use the control panel to set the shot and switch to REC. Takes land in Takes.
Pair the phones
Open the tab
Go to Video Village in the Production stage. While no camera is connected, the middle of the tab reads Waiting for cameras to connect… and shows a code to scan.
Scan it on each phone
Scan the code with CinemaCrew. It pairs the phone with this project only. To send the code another way, click it to copy it, then paste it into the app.
Open the camera
On the phone, open Camera from the Home screen. A tile for that phone shows up on the tab within a few seconds.
The code changes every four minutes and each one works for five, so scan the one on screen, not a photo of an old one. Only people who can edit the team can make a code: the owner and managers, unless you change it in Team.
Set the shot and roll
Pick the phones
Click a tile to select it. It gets a blue border, and the control panel opens. Click more tiles to drive several phones at once.
Set the shot
Choose a shot from Shot… in the panel. The tiles show the shot and camera angle under the picture. The camera operator can also pick it from the shot list on the phone.
Roll
Move the switch up to REC. Each recording tile shows a red REC badge and its take number.
Cut
Move the switch back to LIVE. The take goes to Takes under its shot and take number.
The tab records each take in your browser and burns a two-second slate onto the start: the project name, the shot and take, and the date. Those takes are marked Local in Takes until you upload them. The phone keeps its own full-quality copy too.
