Pairing and the grid

Before anything connects the tab shows a dashed placeholder and the status reads Connected · 0 camera(s), which is the healthy waiting state rather than an error.

Before anything connects

The tab shows a dashed placeholder reading Waiting for cameras to connect… with the pairing QR underneath, and the status in the top right reads Connected · 0 camera(s) once the monitor itself has joined the room.

That status confuses people the first time. Connected refers to the monitor, not the cameras. It means the tab is working and waiting. Zero cameras with “Connected” is healthy; zero cameras with no connection is the problem state.

When a device won’t appear

The code expired

Codes are deliberately short-lived. The tab mints fresh ones continuously, so take a new one rather than reusing a screenshot from earlier.

Wrong project

Codes are project-scoped. A phone paired to another production won’t show up here; it isn’t broken, it’s somewhere else.

Not a manager

Only managers can generate a pairing code. If the button isn’t there, that’s permissions, not a bug.

The device revoked

A device revoked from Team loses access immediately and has to pair again.

Recorded takes land in Takes, organised by shot, ready to review and circle.
