The live map

Crew who turn on location sharing in CinemaCrew’s Runner appear on the map, each in their own colour with a short trail of where they’ve been. The trail is what distinguishes “parked outside the rental house” from “stuck in traffic on the same road for twenty minutes”.

Nobody appears without opting in on their own device, and they can turn it off at any time. It is not a tracking system you can impose.

Comms

Department chat sits beside the map. Crew are auto-joined to their own department’s channel and a PM can grant cross-department access. It’s the same conversation crew see in the app, so a message here reaches the phone in their pocket.

What an errand holds

Field	What it’s for
Title	What needs doing. “Collect 40mm from Panavision”, specific enough to act on without asking.
Address	Where. This is what gives the runner turn-by-turn navigation in the app.
Assignee	Which crew member. They see it as soon as they have a paired device.
Due time	Optional. Drives the overdue flag, which is the only automatic nagging the board does.
Notes	Order numbers, who to ask for, what it looks like, whether it needs signing for.

The three columns

Column	Means	Who moves it
Assigned	Handed to a runner, not yet started.	You, on creation.
En route	They’ve picked it up and are on the way.	The runner, from the app.
Done	Completed.	The runner, or you when their phone dies.
