Make a board

1. Open the boards

   Press Mood Boards on the design’s card.

2. Add a board

   Press + New, type a name and press Create.

3. Fill it

   Select the board, then add pictures. ⬆ Upload picks files. ✨ Generate makes one from a prompt, with any image model. ➕ Add from project pulls in pictures you already have, like character or location pictures and project photos. You can also drag or paste pictures onto the grid.

4. Choose it

   Press Set as chosen. The board gets a ★ Chosen badge.

5. Turn it on

   Tick Use mood board as style reference.

What the reference does

The pictures on a board are stitched into one image, shown under Stitched reference image. With the box ticked, that image is sent along with every character, location, scene, wardrobe and storyboard picture the design makes.

The tick box belongs to the design, so it covers every board. If it’s on and no board is chosen, the window warns you to pick one. The Mood Boards button on the card shows a ★ while the reference is on.

Manage boards

A design can have many boards, but only one is chosen. To compare two directions, switch which board is chosen.

• Duplicate copies a board, so you can change the copy and keep the original.
• Type in the name box at the top of a board to rename it.
• Hover a picture and press ✕ to remove it.
• Delete removes the whole board.

Generated pictures carry an AI tag and can be rated with stars.

Use a board when a look is easier to show than to describe, like a film’s color grade or a texture. Keep the style prompt for things words say well, like lighting rules. The two work together.
