Title page fields are structured, not typed into the body. Revisions keep drafts side by side. Find searches the whole draft. Import brings in Fountain, Final Draft, PDF and plain text; export takes it all away again.
Title page and revisions
The title page is a set of fields (title, author, contact, draft date) rather than text you format by hand, so it always lays out correctly and always exports correctly.
A revision is a copy of the draft at a point in time. Revisions sit side by side rather than overwriting each other, which is what makes it safe to try a structural change.
Find across the draft
Search runs across the whole screenplay rather than the part on screen. On a 110-page document that is the difference between finding every mention of a prop and hoping you scrolled past it.

Import
Fountain, Final Draft .fdx, PDF and plain text, through the same parser the workspace’s script import uses.
Export
Fountain and PDF. A Fountain file is plain text any editor can read, now and in twenty years. The draft is yours.
Straight into pre-production
A script written here goes into a project the same way any other does: import it on the Scripts tab and it becomes scenes, characters, locations and props. Writing and prep are the same system, so the handover isn’t one.
