CinemaWriter

CinemaWriter is a screenplay editor. You type, and it sets each line as a scene heading, action, a character name, dialogue, a parenthetical or a transition. Pages break as you type, with the page number at the top right.

It runs in three places:

  1. In the browser at /script. You can write without an account. Your draft is kept in this browser as you type, and moves to your account when you sign in.
  2. As an iPad app and an Android tablet app.
  3. Inside a project. On the Scripts tab, click Load in Editor on a draft. The editor opens in the panel at the bottom of the page.

Writing and formatting

Start a script, move between elements with Enter and Tab, use the format bar, and save.

Title page, find, settings and export

Fill in the title page, find and replace, jump to a scene, change how pages look, and get the script out.
