Photos, the camera and 3D scans

Add a photo or video

Errands, scout items and chat messages each have a place to add media. Tap it and pick:

On	Choices
iPhone	Take Photo or Video, Choose from Library
Android	Take Photo, Choose from Library. To add a video, record it first and pick it from the library.

The photo stays with the thing you added it to. It also shows up on the project’s Media tab.

Camera

Tap Camera on the home screen. The camera works for the production you are signed in to. There is no extra code to scan.

1. Pick a mode at the top: record (the label reads REC and the take number), stream (LIVE) or OFF.
2. Use the buttons to flip the camera, turn on the torch, change the frame shape, or pick a shot from the shot list.
3. In stream mode, the office watches on the project’s Video Village tab. It can also ask for a full-quality upload of a take.

Video Village needs a Pro plan. On a project without it, the camera says Video Village isn’t available on this project.

3D Scan

3D Scan works on an iPhone or iPad with LiDAR. It is not in the Android app.

1. Tap 3D Scan on the home screen, or Scan room on the Runner Scouting tab.
2. Walk the room slowly. Tap Finish scan when you have covered it.
3. When asked what the scan is for, pick Draft, or Final for plate quality.
4. Wait for Uploading… to reach 100%. The app says Scan uploaded.

The scan shows up on the project’s 3D Scans tab. It is not linked to a scouted item or a location, even when you start it from Scouting.

If the upload stops, tap Try again, or Discard scan to throw it away.
