Browsing & Filtering Scripts
The Scripts tab gives you sort and filter controls to quickly find what you need — sort by name or date, filter by type or revision number, and toggle deleted scripts on or off.
The Script List
Each script in the list shows:
- Title — The script's name, pulled from the Fountain title page or the filename
- Author — The author field from the script metadata
- Revision badge — A small badge showing the revision number (e.g., "Rev 2")
- Type badge — "Script" or "Sides" to indicate the document type
- Deleted badge — Shown on soft-deleted scripts when the "Show Deleted" toggle is on
- Date — When the script was imported
Sorting
Use the sort dropdown to reorder the list:
A → Z
Alphabetical by title, ascending.
Z → A
Alphabetical by title, descending.
Oldest First
Import date ascending — earliest imports at the top.
Newest First
Import date descending — most recent imports at the top. This is the default.
Filtering
Narrow down the list with these filters:
Filter by Type
Show only Scripts or only Sides. Useful when your project has both full screenplays and audition pages.
Filter by Revision
When a script has multiple revisions, filter to a specific revision number to compare drafts or focus on the latest version.
Show Deleted
Toggle this on to reveal soft-deleted scripts. Deleted scripts appear with a visual indicator and can be restored from this view.
