Editing and sorting scenes
Scenes use the shared list screen: sort, select mode, bulk Describe and Generate. Scene portraits are 16:9 landscape establishing shots rather than the portrait crops used for cast.
Working the list
Scenes use the same list controls as Characters, Locations, Wardrobe and Props. Learn them once.
Sort
A–Z, Completion (how much of the record is filled in) or Script order. Click the same key twice to reverse it.
Show deleted
Reveals soft-deleted scenes with a Restore button. Nothing is destroyed by a delete, so this is always the way back.
Select mode
Turns rows into checkboxes and opens the bulk bar: Select all, Invert, and the batch actions below.
Bulk actions
Delete, Combine (merge several scenes into one, moving every link onto the survivor), Describe and Generate across the whole selection.
Describe, then generate
Images come from text. A scene with no description generates something generic. The description is the work; the picture is the easy part.
Describe
Describe asks the text model to write a visual description from what the project already knows: the script, the scene headings, the scene’s own fields. Edit what comes back; it is a draft, not an answer.
Generate
Generate renders a 16:9 cinematic establishing shot, combining that description with the active production design’s style prompt so everything in the project looks like it belongs to one film.
Iterate
Every generation is kept, not overwritten. Open the portrait modal to page through versions, rate them 1–10, pick the one that’s right, or upload your own image instead.
Combine is the fix for a script that named one place two ways. Merging scenes moves every character, wardrobe, prop and shot link onto the survivor, so nothing is orphaned.
