Managing Your Team

TL;DR — The member list shows every crew entry, whether quick-added or invite-linked. You can remove members, track pending invitations, and see how each person connects to budgets, deal memos, and character assignments.

The Member List

The Team tab displays all crew in a single list. Each entry shows:

  • Name — the person’s name (or the position title for unnamed quick-adds).
  • Role — their crew position (e.g., Director, Gaffer).
  • Email — shown if provided via quick-add or pulled from their user account.
  • Linked account indicator — members who accepted an invitation and have a linked user account show a distinct indicator, distinguishing them from placeholder roster entries.

Removing Members

To remove a crew member, click the remove button next to their entry. A confirmation modal appears to prevent accidental deletions. Removing a member:

  • Deletes the TeamMember record from the project.
  • Does not delete their user account (if they had one).
  • Does not retroactively remove them from existing deal memos or budget history.

Pending Invitations

Below the member list, a yellow-highlighted section shows all pending invitations. Each entry displays the invitee’s email, assigned role, and when the invitation was sent. From here you can:

  • See how much time remains before the 7-day expiry.
  • Revoke an invitation if it was sent by mistake.

Connected Features

Team members don’t exist in isolation — they connect to several other parts of your project:

Deal Memos

Each deal memo is associated with a team member. The member’s name, role, and day rate pre-fill the memo, and signatures link back to their account if they have one.

Budget Line Items

Crew positions and their day rates feed into budget line items. The budget reflects your actual team composition and costs.

Character Actor Assignments

Team members with acting roles can be assigned to characters. This links the actor’s schedule to scene requirements and wardrobe assignments.

Member Count Badge

Your project cards on the dashboard display a member count badge, giving you a quick overview of team size across all your projects.
