Browsing & Sorting Locations
Sort locations alphabetically, by completion, or by script order. Each row shows a landscape thumbnail, INT./EXT. prefix, scene stats, and a permit badge. Toggle deleted locations on or off with the Show Deleted button.
Anatomy of a Location Row
Each row in the Locations tab displays:
- Portrait thumbnail — A landscape (200×112) establishing shot, or a placeholder if no portrait exists
- Name — Prefixed with INT./EXT. and suffixed with the predominant time of day (e.g., “INT. COFFEE SHOP – DAY”)
- Permit badge — Shows permit status when permit info is present
- Address — City, state, or full address when available
- Scene stats — Scene count with day/night page-eighth badges (e.g., “5 scenes · D: 3⅛ N: 1⅞”)
- Description — Click to edit inline
- Action buttons — Auto-Describe, Generate/Regenerate portrait, and more
Sort Options
Use the sort dropdown in the toolbar to reorder locations:
Script Order (default)
Sorts locations by their first scene appearance in the script. Locations that appear earliest come first.
A→Z / Z→A
Alphabetical sorting by location name, ascending or descending.
Completion
Ranks locations by how complete they are — those missing a description or portrait appear first so you can fill in the gaps.
Show / Hide Deleted
The Show Deleted toggle in the toolbar reveals soft-deleted locations with a count badge showing how many are hidden. Deleted rows display a red “Deleted” badge and an individual Restore button to bring them back.
