Errands live in three columns — Assigned, En route, and Done. The runner moves an errand along from the Runner app and the board picks it up on its next 15-second refresh, but you can also override the status yourself with the buttons on each card, reassign it from the card, and watch for overdue flags on errands past their due time.
The Three Columns
Every errand is in exactly one of three states, and the board has a column for each:
The summary above the board reads “N open · N done,” where open counts the Assigned and En route columns together and done counts the Done column.
Status Updates from the Runner App
The runner assigned to an errand normally drives its status from the mobile Runner app — marking themselves En route when they set off and Done when it’s finished. Those changes flow back to this board automatically: it re-checks for updates every 15 seconds (the same cadence as the Crew Map), so an errand can slide from one column to the next without you doing anything.
Overriding Status Yourself
You don’t have to wait for the runner. Each errand card has a small three-segment control — Assigned / En route / Done — with the current state highlighted. Tap another segment to move the errand into that column yourself. The card jumps to the new column immediately; if the update can’t reach the server, it quietly snaps back to where it was.
Reassigning on the Fly
The card shows a small chip with the assignee’s name, or Unassigned if nobody’s on it. Click the chip to turn it into a dropdown and pick a different runner — or hand it back to Unassigned — without opening the full edit form. The chip updates as soon as the change is saved. As in the create form, roster members who haven’t paired a device are tagged “(not on app).”
Due Dates & Overdue
If an errand has a due time, the card shows a “Due” line with the date and time. When that time passes and the errand still isn’t done, the line turns red to flag it as overdue. Once an errand is marked Done, the due line is replaced by a completed stamp in relative time — “done 3m ago,” “done 2h ago” — so you can see how recently it wrapped.
Live Refresh & the Assistant
Beyond the 15-second poll, the board also refreshes the moment the project’s AI assistant creates or changes an errand, so a board you asked the assistant to update reflects it right away. Between the poll, the assistant hook, and your own status and reassignment controls, the board stays in step with what’s actually happening on set.
