Monitoring the Feed
Connected cameras appear as a wrapping grid of live tiles. Each tile plays that device’s picture at the right orientation and aspect ratio and labels it with the device name, shot, and camera angle. A pulsing REC badge marks a recording camera and a Take badge shows its take number. Drag a tile’s edge to resize it, and click a tile to select it for control.
The Camera Grid
Every connected device gets its own tile, and the tiles flow left to right, wrapping to new rows as you add more cameras. There’s no fixed limit imposed by the layout — the grid simply grows to fit however many phones and cameras are in the session, so you can watch a single feed or a whole bank of them at once.
What Each Tile Shows
A tile is the live video on top with a caption row underneath:
Orientation and Aspect Ratio
Tiles match how the camera is actually shooting. A device tells the monitor whether it’s held in portrait or landscape and whether it’s recording at 16:9 or 4:3, and the tile takes on the matching shape — a wide 16:9 landscape tile, a tall 9:16 portrait tile, or the 4:3 variants — so nothing looks stretched or letterboxed incorrectly. The video is fit inside the tile so the whole frame stays visible.
Resizing a Tile
Tiles start at a compact default width, but each one is resizable: drag its bottom-right edge to make an important feed larger while keeping the others small. The tile keeps its correct aspect ratio as you resize, so blowing up a shot never distorts it.
Selecting and Offline Tiles
Click a tile to select it — a blue border appears and the floating control panel opens so you can drive that camera (covered in Controlling Cameras). Click again to deselect. While a tile is establishing its connection it shows “Connecting…” in place of the video, and a device that has dropped out shows “Offline” until it reconnects.
