Versions & the Version Filter

Every bin carries a version number, shown as a color-coded badge (v1, v2, …). Hit New Version to branch a fresh copy of a scene’s cut without losing the old one, and use the version filter at the top of the list to show only the Latest per scene, All Versions, or one specific version.

What a Version Is

Versions let a single scene have more than one cut in flight. Maybe you want to try a tighter assembly while keeping the first pass around to compare — each is its own bin, tied to the same scene, with its own version number. The version shows on the bin as a small badge (v1, v2, and so on), and the badge color cycles through a fixed palette so different versions are easy to tell apart at a glance.

Creating a New Version

Each bin has a New Version button in its action row. Pressing it creates the next version of that scene’s cut and makes the new one active. The new version is added to the top of the list, so you can keep iterating while your earlier passes stay intact.

Filtering by Version

As versions pile up, the list can get busy. The version filter dropdown at the top of the tab controls which ones you see:

LatestThe default — shows only the highest version of each scene, so you see one bin per scene.

All VersionsShows every version of every scene at once, for side-by-side comparison.

v1, v2…Pick a specific version number to show only bins on that version across all scenes.

The dropdown lists whichever version numbers actually exist in your project, so it grows as you create more versions. The filter works alongside sorting and the show-deleted toggle covered in Exporting & Managing Bins.
