Cinema Set Free is a filmmaker's collective founded 2004 in Brooklyn, New York. We are an army of leaders. Motivated, creative professionals working in all aspects of the arts. Our goal is the resurrection of independent cinema. We realize that indy film is only as good as the community that supports it. Through local and online efforts we are connecting film communities and artists in a spirit of brotherhood over business. Our membership is the next generation of great American filmmakers and they will usher in a new era in independent film.

The only requirement for membership is a passion for independent cinema. All over the country there are small groups of filmmakers with the CSF spirit on their set and in their hearts. And on our lips breathe an idea of what cinema can be. A spark that will light a fire to burn down everything corrupting the art we love so much. Wherever there is a hunger so will grow the film community to feed it and from every corner of the globe, our voices will be heard.
